A Seafood Sensation
Relive the magic of the Havelock Mussel & Seafood Festival — in 2026, more than 4,500 people came through the gates for an epic day in the sun (and a little drizzle), with vibes high from start to finish. From powerhouse performances by Shapeshifter, Tom Knowles & The Full Noise Band, and the Wellington Sea Shanty Society, to a packed programme of food, fun, and community — it was one to remember.
Now, we’re gearing up to do it all again.
Save the date: Saturday 13 March 2027.
Discover the ultimate seafood feast and experience the best of the Marlborough Sounds at the Havelock Mussel & Seafood Festival.
Expect a full day of fresh local seafood, live music, and family-friendly fun. The Gascoigne Wicks Stage will come alive with top-tier entertainment, while the NZ King Salmon Culinary Tent showcases talented chefs sharing tips, tricks, and delicious inspiration.
Wander through 40+ food and craft stalls, celebrating the region’s finest seafood — from world-famous Greenshell™ mussels to oysters and salmon. There’s plenty to keep the whole family entertained, including the Marlborough Lines Kids Zone, quirky dress-up competitions, and the ever-popular mussel opening challenges.
Dive deeper into the region’s aquaculture story in the Marine Farming Association Industry Tent, and connect with the people behind one of New Zealand’s most iconic food industries.
More than just a great day out, the festival proudly gives back to the local community, with proceeds supporting charitable groups and initiatives across the region.
Come for the seafood, stay for the atmosphere — and be part of it in 2027.
